Becoming an HR Thought Leader

A thought leader is one whose views on a subject are taken to be authoritative and influential.  And, whose innovative ideas influence and guide others. These are admirable qualities, but unfortunately, they haven’t been associated with the traditional role of HR professionals. Because, operations managers often perceive HR as focusing on adherence to rules and procedures, not on accomplishing their missions. So, it is imperative that you, as an HR professional, develop a reputation as a valued partner and not as a wet blanket or even worse, as an obstructionist.

Therefore, during this session we will discuss:

• How to forge productive relationships with executives and managers built on trust
• How to influence others without being perceived as oppositional
• The critical non-cognitive skills you must develop to become a thought leader
